Let’s get one thing straight - this is not for advanced skiers who want to ski near-verticals all day.
If you want top class advanced skiing,
us with an idea of your requirements and we’ll use our contacts to arrange a really good deal for you at Mammoth, Breckenridge or Fernie.
If you’re an intermediate or beginner skier you’ll love Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort.
The skiing goes up to over 9500 feet and covers 40 acres.
LVSS enjoys 120 inches of snow a year.
But what snow! This is high desert snow.
The snow here is formed from moisture laden air that is superheated as it passes over the desert and then precipitates as it rises over the mountains to give a quality of snow quite unlike anything ever found in Europe.
Ski School
Marcel Barel, the internationally acclaimed, PSIA-W certified ski school director grew up on skis in the mountains of Switzerland. He and his professional staff of friendly instructors help skiers and snowboarders of all age levels and abilities improve their individual skills and techniques. Marcel and his staff also offer ski instruction for children ages 4 - 12 on weekends and holidays.
Top of the line rental equipment makes learning easier than ever.
This is a place to enjoy some relaxed skiing, stop for a coffee or beer and enjoy the sunshine.
It’s not a place to wear your knees out.
The runs at LVSS are 20% green (beginner), 60% blue (easy) and 20% black (intermediate).
Note - they don’t have ‘red’ runs in the States so the black runs are intermediate.
When they want to indicate a more difficult run they stick a diamond on it so what we call a difficult or ‘black’ run, they call a ‘diamond-black’ or ‘double-diamond black’.

The sun always shines!
What do you expect in the middle of a desert?
